Entertainment Desk:The release of the trailer for the upcoming horror-action film Zombied has sparked strong reactions among cinema fans ahead of Eid ul Adha. The project, directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza under Filmwala Productions, is being discussed widely for attempting to bring a fresh zombie universe to Pakistani cinema.

The film reunites Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat on the big screen after nearly eight years, which has become one of the biggest talking points surrounding the movie. Their return together has generated excitement among viewers who have long admired their on-screen chemistry.

The newly released trailer presents a mix of horror, romance, suspense, and action. Set in a world overtaken by zombies, the story appears to follow two central characters struggling to survive while facing terrifying and violent situations.

Fast-paced action scenes, emotional moments, and visually intense sequences dominate the trailer, giving audiences a glimpse of what the filmmakers describe as an upgraded horror experience for local cinema.

Many viewers praised the scale and presentation of the film, saying the trailer looks more polished and ambitious than typical horror productions from Pakistan.

Social media users especially appreciated the visual quality, action choreography, and the return of the popular on-screen pair. Several fans highlighted Mehwish Hayat’s screen presence and performance, calling her one of the major strengths of the trailer.

At the same time, the trailer has also received mixed criticism from some movie lovers. A section of viewers felt the horror atmosphere could have been darker and more intense to properly capture the feel of a zombie apocalypse. Others argued that the film relies too heavily on blood and graphic visuals instead of suspense.

Some fans also questioned the scale of the disaster shown in the trailer. According to critics online, limiting much of the chaos to a single building made the film appear smaller in scope, while a citywide outbreak could have created a more convincing zombie world.

Despite the divided opinions, Zombied has already succeeded in creating buzz before its release. With high expectations, a popular returning duo, and an unusual genre for Pakistani cinema, the film is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about Eid ul Adha releases this year.
