LAHORE — Executive Committee Member of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and prominent industrialist Shouban Akhtar has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected LCCI office bearers — President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saighol, Senior Vice President Tanveer Sheikh, and Vice President Khurram Lodhi — on their well-deserved success in the recent chamber elections.
In his felicitation message, Shouban Akhtar expressed strong optimism that the new leadership will inject fresh energy into the chamber’s agenda for economic growth, trade promotion, and institutional reforms. He praised President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saighol for his visionary approach, dynamic leadership, and practical strategy to strengthen the chamber’s role as a true voice of the business community.
He added that the overwhelming victory of the new team signifies the deep confidence reposed by the business community, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs), in their ability to bring about real policy improvements in taxation, industrial facilitation, and export enhancement.
Acknowledging the services of Senior Vice President Tanveer Sheikh and Vice President Khurram Lodhi, Shouban Akhtar noted that both leaders have a proven track record of dedication to the private sector’s progress and have consistently worked for the collective interests of traders and industrialists.
He emphasized the need for a more collaborative approach between the chamber and government institutions to address persistent issues faced by businesses, including regulatory hurdles, high input costs, and delays in policy implementation. “The private sector must be empowered as a key stakeholder in Pakistan’s economic decision-making process,” he stated.
Shouban Akhtar reaffirmed his personal commitment to work with the new LCCI leadership for strengthening trade competitiveness, promoting innovation, and ensuring sustainable industrial development. He expressed hope that the new team will continue to champion the interests of entrepreneurs and play a pivotal role in driving Pakistan’s journey toward economic resilience and prosperity.
