LAHORE: On the occasion of 9th Muharram, Punjab Safe Cities Authority has implemented strict and foolproof security arrangements across the province, including Lahore. According to details, continuous monitoring of processions and religious gatherings is being carried out in real time.

Smart Safe City Centers established in various districts of Punjab are actively surveilling the routes of major processions, Imambargahs, and venues of Majalis in Lahore , security monitoring is being conducted through more than 1,600 cameras. Additionally, over 5,000 extra cameras have been installed across various districts to ensure peace and order during the processions and gatherings. To ensure comprehensive coverage and monitoring of major processions, representatives from the police and other law enforcement agencies are stationed round the clock at Safe City control rooms, keeping a close watch on every moment of the situation.
The spokesperson of Safe Cities Authority has urged citizens to stay vigilant of their surroundings and immediately report any suspicious activity or emergency situation to the Police Helpline 15.
