LAHORE: Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, along with Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora, visited the Bhagat Singh Gallery at Poonch House.
Director-General of Industries Asif Ali Farukh and other officials were also present on the occasion. The Provincial Ministers reviewed the photographic exhibition depicting the struggle of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and praised the display, while relevant officers briefed them on the details. Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique stated that the history of Bhagat Singh was one of courage and bravery. “As a Pakistani, I highly appreciate Bhagat Singh’s fight for freedom. Bhagat Singh voluntarily surrendered himself. His courageous efforts are still remembered today,” he added. Khawaja Salman Rafique further stated that Bhagat Singh accomplished many feats even during his two years in prison. “We salute Bhagat Singh’s efforts and believe that every hero who has fought for the nation should be respected. We also salute all fighters who continue to sacrifice their lives for the country and people.” The Provincial Health Minister also appreciated the efforts of Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Secretary of Industry and Commerce, and other officials for the renovation and beautification of the Bhagat Singh Gallery.

Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora said, “Today, we are here to pay tribute to a freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh. His sacrifices and struggles not only awakened the sense of freedom in the people of the subcontinent but also gave strength to freedom movements worldwide. Bhagat Singh proved through his actions that the true power of a person lies in his faith, his determination, and his resolve.” He further emphasized, “As we inaugurate the Bhagat Singh Gallery today, it is an effort to keep alive the memory of his great deeds, so that the new generation can learn from his sacrifices.” Ramesh Singh Arora also said that Bhagat Singh not only inspired his contemporaries but also taught future generations that the truth of freedom can only be attained when we are determined to fight for our rights. “Today, we salute his courage and try to adopt his principles. He remained steadfast in his beliefs, which is a mark of a great leader,” he remarked. The Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs praised all the concerned departments for the gallery’s renovation and expressed hope that this gallery would serve as a means to transmit the sacrifices of this historic figure to future generations.
