LAHORE — The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Lahore Division held a formal notification distribution ceremony at the Peoples Secretariat in Model Town, marking a key step in its organisational restructuring across the city. Lahore Division President Faisal Mir presided over the event, distributing official appointment notifications to newly designated divisional and town office-bearers, with Majid Ghori also present.
At the divisional level, appointees included Senior Vice President Shahid Abbas Advocate, Vice Presidents Amir Nasir Butt, Maqsooma Bukhari, Zeeshan and Tahira Jalib, Deputy General Secretary Khurram Farooq, Deputy Information Secretaries Ahmad Ghaman, Asjad Malik and Hassan Abbas, Finance Secretary Asghar Bhatti, Secretary Records and Events Nabil Nasir, and Office Secretary Atif Khokhar.
In the first phase of the restructuring, notifications were distributed for seven towns: City Town, Raiwind Town, Nishtar Town, Ravi Town, Iqbal Town, Shalimar Town, and Model Town. Leadership appointments included Syed Afraz Naqvi (President, Model Town), Moin Ahmad Butt (General Secretary), Abbas Shah (Information Secretary), and Rana Imran (Senior Vice President), among others across the remaining towns.
PPP Central Punjab President Raja Pervez Ashraf, General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza, Senior Vice President Rana Farooq Saeed, Information Secretary Shahzad Saeed Cheema, and Deputy General Secretary Usman Malik congratulated the newly appointed office-bearers, expressing confidence that the new structure would strengthen the party and enhance its role in public affairs.
Speaking to the media, Faisal Mir described the event as the first organisational meeting of PPP Lahore. He stated that each town organisation would comprise fifteen office-bearers, with town structures to be completed by March 26, followed by zones, union councils, and ward formations.
Mir also announced a membership drive targeting twenty thousand members in Lahore over the next four months, alongside preparations for local government elections. He said organisations meeting membership goals would be rewarded with meetings with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Zardari. Emphasising the importance of youth and women participation, he reaffirmed PPP’s commitment to rebuilding a strong presence in Lahore and congratulated all new office-bearers.
