LAHORE: – In line with the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab, an open court was held at the office of the DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza, where a large number of citizens, including overseas Pakistanis, appeared to present their complaints related to various criminal cases.
DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza personally heard each complaint in detail and issued immediate orders for redressal. Several citizens, including Chen Ali and Zareena Mai (kidnapping cases), Shazia Imran and Ghulam Mustafa (cheque dishonor cases), Sami Yoshaino (rape case), Muhammad Irfan (narcotics case), and Shahzad (theft case) appeared before the DIG to seek justice.

A significant number of overseas Pakistanis also participated in the open court, appreciating the Punjab Police initiative for addressing public grievances promptly.
During the session, the DIG directed inquiries into several complaints through the Additional DIG Investigation. In cases of poor investigation, he marked files to the Change of Investigation Board and issued show-cause notices to the concerned investigating officers.
He also ordered the divisional SPs Investigation to resolve certain complaints without delay and personally contacted them over the phone to ensure swift action.
Highlighting the department’s performance, DIG Investigation said that over 20,000 complainants have appeared this year regarding investigation-related grievances, which are being addressed promptly.
“Protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the top priority of the police,” said Syed Zeeshan Raza, adding that officers must deal politely with complainants and continue improving their performance.
He reiterated that the doors of his office remain open round the clock for citizens, including overseas Pakistanis, seeking justice and fair investigations.
