National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has emphasized the importance of unity in Pakistani politics, stating that no element should be allowed to divide the nation. According to Ashraf, every Pakistani is currently concerned about the same issues. In a recent statement, he expressed optimism about the country’s future, citing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party’s newfound willingness to engage in dialogue and listen to opposing views.

Ashraf praised the PTI’s shift in approach, noting that initial talks with the speaker have been successful, with the next meeting scheduled for January 2nd. He expressed hope that continued dialogue would lead to problem-solving and ultimately contribute to political and economic stability in the country. Ashraf also highlighted terrorism as a significant challenge that Pakistan can no longer tolerate.

Former Prime Minister and National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf emphasized the importance of dialogue and unity in Pakistani politics. “Let’s sit down and have a dialogue, and listen to each other,” he said, praising Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari for their leadership abilities.

Ashraf also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who played a key role in shaping Pakistan’s democracy. He noted that December 27th marks Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary and announced that a special train will depart from Lahore Railway Station at 12 noon for Naudero, where people from all over Pakistan will gather to pay their respects.

The PPP leader criticized the imposition of tax on farmers and emphasized the need for patience, courage, and tolerance in the country’s political landscape. He also expressed his hope that the people of Punjab will stand with the People’s Party and support its vision for an Oshio economic system and improvement in human capital.

In response to a question about PTI founder Imran Khan, Ashraf said that Khan’s cases are in the courts and that no one can be released from jail by an executive order. He expressed his desire for the success of negotiations and emphasized that the system will continue to run regardless of the outcome.
