Dr. Bhutta gave these remarks while addressing a meeting regarding the expansion of Sahulat Bazaars. The meeting was attended by Acting Director General Punjab Sahulat Bazaar Authority Naveed Ahmad, Director Projects Roshan Zameer and other officials.

Dr. Ehsan Bhutta informed the meeting that Sahulat Bazaars will be established at 7 locations in Lahore Division, 12 in Faisalabad, 23 in Rawalpindi, 11 in Sargodha, and 4 in Sahiwal. Similarly, 8 Sahulat Bazaars will be set up in Gujrat Division, 7 in Gujranwala, 13 in Bahawalpur, 11 in DG Khan, and 9 in Multan Division.

The Secretary Price Control and Commodities Management Punjab directed that the 13 under-construction Sahulat Bazaars be completed on time and that work should be continued on finding alternative sites for 30 tehsils. He emphasized that district officials should expedite coordination with tehsil authorities to acquire land for Sahulat Bazaars.

Dr. Bhutta stressed that Sahulat Bazaars should not be relocated to unsuitable areas outside cities, which could cause difficulties for consumers. He reiterated that all measures should be taken in accordance with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s directives to provide relief to the public.
