Main suspect arrested in Mughalpura youth murder case; weapon recovered

LAHORE, October 22, 2025: The Lahore Investigation Police have arrested the main suspect involved in the murder of a young citizen, Kashan, in the Mughalpura area and recovered the weapon used in the crime.

According to the spokesperson for the DIG Investigation Lahore, a special team was formed under the direction of DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza to ensure the arrest of the accused. Incharge Investigation Mughalpura Police Station Waqas Ahmed, along with his team, conducted a successful operation leading to the suspect’s arrest.

SP Investigation Civil Lines Khalid Saeed stated that the accused and the deceased were friends. A minor dispute led to the tragic incident in which the suspect opened fire, seriously injuring Kashan, who later succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital.

SP Khalid Saeed added that one accomplice of the main accused had already been arrested earlier and sent to judicial custody. The main suspect was apprehended through professional investigation and the use of human intelligence.

DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza emphasized that, with the support of the police-prosecution partnership, the arrested suspects would be brought to justice. He further stated that indiscriminate operations against criminal elements will continue.

SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed announced commendation certificates for the police team in recognition of their outstanding performance.
