LAHORE: The election office of the Founders-PBG-LBF-United Alliance was formally inaugurated as business leaders launched a joint campaign for the upcoming Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections, pledging to bring a new direction for the business community.

The inauguration ceremony was led by prominent business leader Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman, while Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim, Chairman of the Founders Group, and Ali Hussam Asghar, Chairman of the Pioneer Businessmen Group (PBG) and presidential candidate for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce, attended as special guests.

Chairman Lahore Businessmen Front Chaudhry Muhammad Amjad also participated in the ceremony along with former LCCI presidents Sheikh Muhammad Asif, Farooq Iftikhar and Abdul Basit.

Addressing the gathering, Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim expressed confidence that the alliance would deliver encouraging results in the chamber elections. He said the alliance represented unity among major business groups and added that “the real contest has just begun,” indicating a vigorous election campaign ahead.

Ali Hussam Asghar, who is contesting for the LCCI presidency, said that after being elected president, his every day would be dedicated to resolving the challenges faced by the business community. He highlighted the need for strong representation of traders and industrialists at the chamber platform.

Chaudhry Muhammad Amjad criticized the current leadership of the Lahore Chamber, alleging that the business community needed freedom from those who had dominated the institution for years. He said the alliance would work to restore confidence and provide effective representation to businessmen.

Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman urged alliance members and supporters to remain united and conduct a strong campaign. He said collective efforts and commitment would be key to achieving success in the elections.

The event was attended by a large number of business leaders, market representatives and office-bearers, including PBG core committee members and representatives of the Founders Group.

Among those present were Zeeshan Khalil, Chaudhry Khadim Hussain, Haji Akram, Nasir Ansari, Malik Ejaz, Malik Amanat, Salik Ashfaq, Tariq Mahmood, Asim Rafiq, Haris Atiq, Mardan Zaidi, Hafiz Sajjad, Shahab Basharat, Mahmood Aslam, Muhammad Ali, Mian Zahid Javed, Sheikh Faisal, Ramiz Shahid, Saddam Athar Khan, Mian Imran Asghar, Syed Azmat Ali Shah, Sajid Aziz Mir, Masood Alam Butt, Agha Iftikhar Ahmed, Asif Siddiq and Malik Rizwan.

The inauguration ceremony concluded with a dinner hosted in honour of business leaders and alliance supporters, where participants reiterated their commitment to running a united campaign in the upcoming Lahore Chamber elections.
