Lahore Police launch strict measures to enforce traffic laws and curb road accidents

LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore, Bilal Siddique Kamyana, announced that the full implementation of the amended Motor Vehicles Ordinance is being ensured, with strict action underway against all traffic violations.

In a statement, he instructed officials to take immediate and comprehensive steps to strengthen traffic management and prevent road accidents. The CCPO highlighted the importance of an integrated strategy to develop a modern traffic system in the city.

He pointed out that over-speeding remains a major cause of accidents and called for stringent enforcement to curb the practice. Additionally, he directed that Traffic Police Mobile Education Units visit schools and colleges to raise awareness among students about traffic rules.

The CCPO reaffirmed the police commitment to providing citizens with a safe and orderly travel environment and urged the public to make respect for the law a guiding principle in their daily lives.
