India beat Pakistan by 61 runs in T20 World Cup Clash

COLOMBO (Web Desk) — India national cricket team defeated Pakistan national cricket team by 61 runs in a crucial ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 176 runs, Pakistan failed to build momentum and were restricted to a low total. Usman Khan remained the top scorer with 44 runs, while Shadab Khan scored 14 and Faheem Ashraf added 10 runs. Several key batters, including Babar Azam and Saim Ayub, failed to make significant contributions, with seven Pakistani players unable to reach double figures. Shaheen Shah Afridi remained not out on 22.

For India, Hardik Pandya, Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets each, while Kuldeep Yadav and Tilak Varma claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, India scored 175 for 7 in 20 overs after opting to bat first. Ishan Kishan played a key innings, scoring 77 runs off 40 balls. Tilak Varma added 25 runs, while Suryakumar Yadav scored 32 runs. Shivam Dube contributed 27 runs to strengthen India’s total.

For Pakistan, Saim Ayub took three wickets, while Shaheen Afridi, Salman Ali Agha and Usman Tariq picked up one wicket each.

Pakistan fielded an unchanged playing XI, while India made two changes, bringing in Abhishek Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav for the match.
