Deported or not? Rajab Butt breaks silence on return from UK

LAHORE (Web Desk) –  Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt has rejected claims that he was deported from the United Kingdom, maintaining that his return to Pakistan was voluntary and not the result of any removal action. Addressing the speculation, Butt said on Wednesday that individuals who are deported do not travel back in business class.

According to media reports, Clarifying his position, he acknowledged that his UK visa has been cancelled but stressed that he was not forcibly removed. According to Butt, an application has been filed with the UK Home Office explaining that legal cases are pending against him in Pakistan.

He said he previously held a 10-year UK visa, which his legal team is now challenging through a review process. Butt further stated that his name is not on the Exit Control List and that he plans to stay in Pakistan while the legal matter is under consideration.

“In most cases, visa cancellation in the UK results in a ten-year ban, but I am not pursuing such a route,” he explained, adding that while he may need to travel occasionally, Pakistan will remain his primary residence during the proceedings.

Contrary to Butt’s account, reports circulating since Tuesday night claimed he was deported from England after British authorities revoked his visa. According to these reports, the UK Home Department cancelled his visa after issuing a written decision, citing his failure to disclose criminal cases registered against him in Pakistan at the time of application.

Sources further alleged that once authorities became aware of the undisclosed cases, Butt was detained, his visa was cancelled, and he was ordered to leave the country. Butt has said he intends to legally challenge the Home Office’s decision and pursue an appeal in London. He also stated that he would appear in Karachi within the next ten days.

Rajab Butt, known for his family vlogs, luxury lifestyle content, and controversies, has over 8.2 million subscribers on YouTube and 2.7 million followers on Instagram. He has previously faced legal action in Pakistan over allegations linked to the promotion of betting applications and later relocated to the UK.

Meanwhile, YouTuber Nadeem Naniwala also addressed rumours regarding his visa status, denying claims that his visa was revoked. He stated that he holds citizenship and his visa remains intact.

Naniwala confirmed that two FIRs are registered against him, adding that he has secured bail from the Islamabad High Court and the case will proceed through legal channels. Referring to a recent meeting with fellow YouTuber Ducky, he said details shared online would become clear in due course.

Earlier, the Islamabad High Court granted protective bail until Wednesday to Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Naniwala in cases related to a gambling app and cybercrime, instructing authorities not to arrest them upon their arrival at Islamabad Airport.
