LAHORE (January 15, 2026): Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar has decided that Lahore will organize the biggest cycling race on January 25, 2026.

He revealed this decision while presiding over an important meeting at the National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman SBP Malik Sulaiman, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali, Director General Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry and other officials.

During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given to the Provincial Minister for Sports about the route of Lahore Cycling Race.

Addressing the meeting, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that the upcoming cycling race will be Punjab Sports Department’s first major activity of the year 2026. “Pakistan’s biggest cycling race will be held in Lahore on January 25 in which more than 500 cyclists are expected to participate”.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that he himself will also participate in the cycle race. “The race will start from Liberty Chowk and culminate at Punjab Stadium after passing through various places”.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that Punjab Sports Department is committed to promote positive activities among the younger generation through sports events. He said that more news regarding bigger sports events will be announced in the near future.
