He was talking to the media after condoling and reciting Fateha at the house of PPP Central Punjab Deputy General Secretary Usman Malik on the death of his mother.
Aziz Malik, Agha Syed Taqi, Abrar Qureshi, Nadeem Altaf, Javed Farooqi and Nazir Bhatti were also present on the occasion.

Nadeem Afzal Chan has said that there is a risk that a large agricultural area of Punjab will be affected by the construction of a new canal without planning. At present, all the canals of Punjab are running on the scheduled low water of IRSA.

Nadeem Afzal Chan said that the issue of canals is mainly an issue of Punjab. The farmers of Punjab are suffering from severe water shortage. The water flow in the canals of Punjab is less than 50 percent.
He claimed in his area Mandi Bahauddin itself the water flow was only 40 per cent, and Punjab farmers are being given less water than the 40 percent shortage announced by IRSA.
