Bibi Pakdaman shrine development aims to improve facilities for devotees, says Dr. Ehsan Bhutta

During a visit to the shrine, Dr. Bhutta reviewed the progress of the Phase-II Development Project and directed the concerned departments to ensure its timely completion in line with approved standards and quality benchmarks.

He said the estimated cost of Phase-II is Rs. 496 million. The project includes the construction of a new entrance gate, parking facilities, washrooms, ablution areas, a shopping area, a security room, and other allied infrastructure. A wide and convenient access route from Empress Road to the shrine is also being developed to ensure smooth and safe movement of devotees.

Dr. Bhutta stated that both Phase-I and Phase-II of the development have been designed by renowned architect Nayyer Ali Dada, reflecting a blend of traditional Islamic architecture and modern functionality. He added that the Communication and Works Department is executing the project with precision and professionalism, describing the overall development as an architectural effort that harmonizes spiritual sanctity with contemporary facilities.

Officials present on the occasion included Director Projects Auqaf Rafiq Noor Wattoo, Zonal Nazim Lahore Zone East Gulab Irshad, Manager Darbār Hazrat Bibi Pakdaman Zahid Iqbal, and officers of the Communication and Works Department.

These measures, he said, significantly enhanced the overall environment of the shrine and ensured organized and dignified facilities for visitors.
