LAHORE: Political activity surrounding the upcoming elections of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has intensified as various trader groups and market associations continue to announce their alliances and support for different business panels.
In a major development, the Abu Huraira Foundation, Daroghawala, has announced its full support for the Pioneer Businessmen Group (PBG) led by Chairman Ali Hussam Asghar, acknowledging his leadership qualities and commitment to resolving the issues faced by the business community.
Hundreds of members associated with the Abu Huraira Foundation from different markets of Lahore pledged to cast their votes in favor of PBG and PPPA in the upcoming LCCI elections. The members also vowed to actively participate in the election campaign and mobilization efforts.
The announcement was made by Chairman of Abu Huraira Foundation Muhammad Yousaf Azad during a ceremony held in honor of Ali Hussam Asghar. A large number of businessmen, traders and representatives of different markets attended the event and expressed confidence in the leadership of PBG.
Addressing the gathering, Muhammad Yousaf Azad said that the voters associated with the Abu Huraira Foundation would not only support PBG through their votes but would also play an active role in the election campaign. He said Ali Hussam Asghar has emerged as a strong voice of the trader community and is taking serious and practical steps to address the challenges confronting businesses.
He added that the current economic situation demands a capable and visionary leadership that can effectively raise the concerns of traders at every platform. According to him, PBG has consistently worked for the protection of traders’ rights and for the promotion of business activities in the city.
The ceremony was attended by Patron of Abu Huraira Foundation Alhaj Mian Tayyab, Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Younas Azad, Mian Tahir Mehmood, Malik Azhar, Mian Muhammad Bashir, Dr Muhammad Shehzad, Muhammad Ali, Mian Abdul Ghani, Mian Abdul Waheed and former LCCI Vice President Shahid Nazir along with a large number of office-bearers and members of the business community.
Participants reiterated their commitment to supporting a strong and competent leadership in the LCCI elections to ensure effective representation of the trader community and timely resolution of business-related issues.
