LAHORE: Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Akamatsu Shui Chi, met with Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan here today at the Governor House Lahore. In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on promoting bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture, economy, and culture.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that Pakistan and Japan have cordial relations.

Governor Punjab said that due to the fertile land and climate in Pakistan, the taste of fruits and vegetables here is famous all over the world. Governor Punjab said that we look forward to cooperation of Japan in the field of agriculture. He said that Japanese automobiles are very popular in Pakistan due to the high quality. He said that Japanese companies can take advantage of economic opportunities in various sectors in Pakistan, including the automobile sector. Governor Punjab further said that the exchange of business and cultural delegations between Pakistan and Japan will further expand bilateral relations. He said that he appreciates the support of the Japanese government for the preservation of artifacts in the Taxila Museum. On this occasion, the Governor of Punjab also assured the Japanese Ambassador of the cooperation of the Governor House regarding the solution of the problems of the engineers working in Japanese companies and the security of the Japanese people living in Pakistan.
Speaking on this occasion, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan , Akamatsu Shui Chi said that about 80 Japanese companies are working in Pakistan. The Japanese ambassador said that there is a need to increase people to people contact between Pakistan and Japan. He said that he is determined to promote bilateral relations between Kapan and Pakistan especially in culture and trade sectors.
