LAHORE: The Pharmaceutical Association has announced its support for the Vision Alliance in the upcoming Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections, giving a boost to the alliance’s campaign.
The announcement was made at a luncheon hosted in Gulberg by Hamid Raza, Vision Alliance’s candidate for Executive Committee member from the Corporate Class.
Vision Alliance’s presidential candidate for the LCCI, Ali Hussam Asghar, attended the gathering along with Founders Group Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim.
Senior Founders Group leaders Haji Muhammad Akram, Chaudhry Khadim Hussain, Asim Rafiq and Tariq Mahmood also participated in the event.
Vision Alliance candidates contesting from the Corporate Class attended the luncheon as the alliance stepped up its campaign ahead of the chamber elections.
PBG General Secretary Mardan Ali Zaidi was also present, while Chaudhry Zulfiqar, Ahsan Ashfaq, Chaudhry Muhammad Ghufran Toor and Ahsan Jamil were among other prominent participants.
Addressing the gathering, Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim expressed confidence in the electoral strength of the alliance and predicted a decisive victory.
“Vision Alliance will, God willing, make a clean sweep in both the Corporate and Associate classes,” Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim said.
Ali Hussam Asghar also expressed confidence over the alliance’s prospects, saying the Vision Alliance was heading towards a historic victory in the LCCI elections.
The Pharmaceutical Association’s support is expected to strengthen the Vision Alliance’s outreach within Lahore’s business community as campaigning intensifies for representation at one of the country’s leading chambers of commerce.
The alliance is seeking support from different trade and industrial sectors as it campaigns for seats in both the Corporate and Associate classes.
