During the meeting, Haseebullah Khan appreciated Malik’s initiatives and services for Pakistanis living abroad, particularly efforts aimed at facilitating expatriates and resolving problems they face concerning matters in Pakistan.

He said protecting the rights of overseas Pakistanis, providing them with effective facilitation, creating investment opportunities and using modern technology to address their problems were important steps.

Haseebullah Khan said overseas Pakistanis played a significant role in the country’s economy and deserved efficient institutional support to resolve their legitimate issues.

He appreciated measures aimed at making government services more accessible to Pakistanis living abroad, saying the effective use of technology could reduce the need for expatriates to travel to Pakistan for matters that could be handled remotely.

Barrister Amjad Malik briefed the delegation on initiatives undertaken by the Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab and said facilities were now being provided to overseas Pakistanis while they remained abroad for several matters that previously required their physical presence in Pakistan.

He said the commission would continue its efforts to ensure the timely resolution of complaints and problems faced by overseas Pakistanis.

Haseebullah Khan expressed his best wishes for Malik and hoped the commission would continue strengthening its services and institutional mechanisms for Pakistanis living across the world.

The lawyers’ delegation included Ansar Saeed Butt, Zaka-ur-Rehman, Ambreen Malik and Tajamal Haider, among other members of the legal community.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Haseebullah Khan presented a bouquet and a shield to Barrister Amjad Malik.
