LAHORE- Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over a high-level meeting at his office to review the overall performance of the Model Town and Cantonment divisions, with a particular focus on law and order, crime control and public service delivery.

During the meeting, the CCPO directed officers to further strengthen security arrangements for Chinese nationals residing and working in Lahore, emphasizing that comprehensive security measures must remain a top priority.

Officials informed the meeting that 667 Afghan nationals had recently been repatriated. Bilal Siddique Kamyana directed the police officers to further accelerate and streamline the repatriation process of illegally residing Afghan nationals, particularly those whose visas had expired.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the pace of arrests of proclaimed offenders, the CCPO said there would be zero tolerance for negligence in this regard and instructed all divisions to achieve their arrest targets in full.

He also ordered an intensified crackdown on drug traffickers, particularly those involved in the supply of Ice and other synthetic narcotics, directing officers to initiate the strictest legal action against those responsible for pushing lethal drugs into society and endangering the younger generation.

Highlighting the importance of public service, Mr Kamyana stressed that the police would not tolerate a culture of unnecessarily delaying complainants or forcing them to make repeated visits to police offices. He directed officers to ensure that citizens were promptly informed whenever the concerned officer was unavailable due to official engagements, so that members of the public would not face inconvenience or waste their time.

The CCPO reiterated that effective policing, prompt public service and strict enforcement against crime would remain the Lahore Police’s foremost priorities.

DIG (Admin) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SSP (Operations) Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem, as well as SPs, ASPs, circle officers, SHOs and investigation in-charges of the two divisions attended the meeting.
