MUMBAI ( Web Desk) : A regular Sunday gathering outside Amitabh Bachchan’s Mumbai residence turned concerning after a fan reportedly fainted while waiting in extreme heat to catch a glimpse of the legendary actor. The incident took place outside Jalsa on Sunday, where hundreds of admirers had assembled as part of the actor’s long-standing weekly interaction tradition.

Videos circulating online showed a middle-aged man collapsing near the crowd gathered outside the residence. Several people nearby immediately rushed to help him, lifting him up from the road and moving him to a safer spot by the roadside. Bystanders were seen trying to comfort the fan and ensure he recovered from the exhaustion caused by prolonged waiting under the scorching sun.

For decades, Amitabh Bachchan’s Sunday appearances outside Jalsa have remained a major attraction for fans from across the country. Every week, crowds gather outside the actor’s home hoping to wave at him, click pictures, and experience a brief interaction with the superstar. The actor also regularly shares moments from these meetings on his personal blog, describing them as deeply emotional and important to him.

Just days before the incident, Amitabh had written about the significance of his fans in his life and career. Calling them his “extended family,” he said their support motivates him to continue working and improving as an artist. He also revealed that he had spoken to his security staff about treating visitors and admirers respectfully, especially those who stand for hours just to see him for a few moments.

The actor emphasized that fans deserve kindness and dignity because of the unwavering affection they show him. According to him, the way his team behaves with the public reflects directly on him as a person. He also acknowledged the effort fans make by waiting outside in difficult weather conditions and stressed that such devotion should never be taken lightly.

The incident has once again highlighted the intense fan culture surrounding some of India’s biggest film stars, where admirers often travel long distances and wait for hours for a single glimpse. While many praised the crowd for quickly helping the fan, several social media users also expressed concern about crowd management and safety during such gatherings, especially during extreme summer temperatures.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next appear in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. The film also stars Prabhas and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles.
