Bollywood star Alia Bhatt was recently seen sharing a light-hearted conversation with Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc, creating a crossover that fans never saw coming.
Alia, who attended Cannes this year as a global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, has already been one of the festival’s most talked-about celebrities. However, it was a candid video of her interacting with Ferrari’s star driver Charles Leclerc that quickly went viral across social media platforms.
The two appeared relaxed and cheerful while chatting at a high-profile Cannes gathering filled with actors, athletes and fashion icons. Fans online were quick to react, with many calling it the “most random yet iconic crossover” of the year.
Interestingly, Charles was not the only Formula 1 personality Alia met during the festival. She was also spotted interacting with Carlos Sainz Jr.,

Beyond the viral moments, Alia’s fashion choices remained a major highlight throughout the festival. For one of her red carpet appearances, she embraced a soft, fairytale-inspired aesthetic in a custom icy-blue gown by designer Danielle Frankel.
The outfit featured a corset-style bodice and a flowing dramatic skirt crafted from silk satin and lace, creating an elegant and ethereal silhouette. She paired the ensemble with a lace choker and a diamond pendant, giving the overall look a vintage-inspired charm.
Styled by Rhea Kapoor, Alia kept her makeup fresh and minimal with glowing skin and nude tones, while her slightly undone hairstyle added softness to the glamorous look.
Earlier at the festival, she also impressed audiences in a blush peach couture outfit by Tamara Ralph during the opening ceremony. Another notable appearance came at the Bharat Pavilion, where she wore a traditional-inspired ensemble by Tarun Tahiliani, complete with a rhinestone bindi and lace parasol that beautifully blended Indian craftsmanship with international couture styling.
Cannes arrives at an especially significant moment in Alia Bhatt’s career. The actor is currently leading Alpha, the first female-led project in the YRF Spy Universe alongside Sharvari. She will also reunite with Ranbir Kapoor in Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-starring Vicky Kaushal. The highly anticipated film is scheduled to release on January 21, 2027.
