LAHORE: Punjab , Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan has termed Pakistan’s success in Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos a historic milestone, saying it strengthened national unity and enhanced the country’s diplomatic standing globally.

Pakistan’s Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos strengthened national unity and diplomacy, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan says, announcing a special Punjab Assembly session to pass a unanimous resolution.

Addressing a press conference, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said the success of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos marked a defining moment in Pakistan’s history, demonstrating both military strength and national cohesion. He announced that a special session of the Punjab Assembly would be convened to pay tribute to the achievement, during which a unanimous resolution would also be adopted.

The Speaker stated that India, using the Pahalgam incident as a pretext, leveled allegations against Pakistan without presenting credible evidence and attempted to escalate regional tensions. However, Pakistan, through a measured and responsible approach, effectively presented its stance on the diplomatic front and conveyed its position to the international community.

He emphasized that Pakistan consistently offered transparent investigations and impartial mediation, reflecting its commitment as a responsible and peace-loving state.

Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan remarked that in times of conflict, truth is often the first casualty; however, the Pakistani media upheld professional integrity by accurately conveying facts to both domestic and global audiences. He reiterated that while Pakistan possesses full defensive capability and the ability to respond decisively to aggression, its foremost priority remains sustainable peace and regional stability.

Paying tribute to the national leadership, he commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the military leadership, particularly Field Marshal General Asim Munir, for their strategic vision. He noted that under their leadership, Pakistan ensured national security while also enhancing its global standing.

The Speaker further highlighted that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is actively pursuing a comprehensive agenda of social and developmental reforms across Punjab. Initiatives such as the Suthra Punjab Program, improved waste management systems, mass transit projects, and various public welfare schemes reflect positive transformation across the province.

He described the Chief Minister as a “social reformer,” acknowledging her efforts to address public issues and ensure effective service delivery.

He added that the legislative process in the Punjab Assembly is progressing effectively, aimed at promoting social reforms and addressing public concerns. Reaffirming his commitment, the Speaker said that through transparent governance, strong institutions, and dedicated public service, Punjab will continue its journey toward progress and prosperity.

He concluded that the upcoming special session on Marka-e-Haq would further strengthen the national narrative and unity.
