Lahore Qalandars opened their 11th Pakistan Super League (PSL) campaign with a commanding 69-run victory against Hyderabad Kingsmen at Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Lahore posted 199 for six in their 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman led the innings with a fluent 53, supported by Haseebullah Khan, who remained unbeaten on 40. Mohammad Naeem contributed 30, while Sikandar Raza added a rapid 24 off 10 balls.
Hassan Khan and Riley Meredith took two wickets each for Hyderabad, but their bowlers struggled to contain the Qalandars’ strong batting display.
In reply, Hyderabad Kingsmen were bowled out for 130 in 20 overs, with Marnus Labuschagne top-scoring with 26 and Meredith unbeaten on 19. Sikandar Raza and Haris Rauf claimed two wickets each, while Ubaid Shah also took two, keeping Lahore in control throughout.
