ISLAMABAD (News Desk) — The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced a major change in the conduct of the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination starting from 2026, according to media reports.
Under the new policy, only one paper per day will be held for compulsory subjects, replacing the previous system where candidates had to attempt two papers in a single day.
FPSC said the decision aims to ease pressure on candidates and ensure a more organized and smooth examination process. The policy will apply to CSS 2026 and future examinations.
The commission also stated that a detailed timetable for CSS 2026 will be released in due course.
FPSC has announced that starting from CSS Exam 2026, only one paper per day will be conducted for compulsory subjects, replacing the earlier practice of two papers per day. The move aims to reduce candidate stress and streamline the examination process, with a detailed timetable to be released soon.
