LAHORE, November 05:: Provincial Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, while congratulating the Sikh community on the 556th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, said that Baba Guru Nanak gave a message of humanity, love and peace, while Baba Guru Nanak’s teachings are a shining example of religious tolerance and brotherhood.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said that strict security arrangements have been made around Nankana Sahib and other Gurdwaras, while the security of all religious places across the province has been made foolproof. Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan further said that the police and district administration are active for the protection of Sikh pilgrims, however, religious minorities in Pakistan enjoy complete religious freedom as per the Constitution. The provincial law minister said that the Punjab government is ensuring all arrangements for the best hospitality for Sikh pilgrims. The Kartarpur Corridor is a bright symbol of Pakistan’s commitment to interfaith tolerance, while religious harmony, rule of law and protection of minority rights are the top priorities of the Punjab government.
