FAISALABAD: Pakistan Single Window (PSW), in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hosted an event for women entrepreneurs in Faisalabad under the Khadijah Women Entrepreneurship Program.

The event provided valuable insights into cross-border trade, e-commerce, digital marketing, customs procedures, access to finance, and emerging opportunities in green trade, all designed to help women-led businesses thrive in global markets.
TDAP, through its Women Entrepreneurship Division, has consistently supported women-led businesses by offering training, market linkages, and opportunities to showcase their products in international markets. Through its collaboration with PSW in Faisalabad, TDAP works to ensure women entrepreneurs not only understand the complexities of trade regulations but also meet the evolving sustainability criteria demanded by global buyers. This partnership strengthens their ability to enter and compete in international markets while aligning with international sustainability trends.
As part of its flagship initiative to modernize cross-border trade, PSW has been advancing women’s participation in international markets through the Khadijah Program. Recently recognized with the WTO Global Award for Gender Equality in Trade, this initiative combines trade facilitation with capacity building, equipping women entrepreneurs with the tools and skills to succeed globally. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, the program promotes inclusive, environmentally responsible trade practices. By emphasizing inclusive, green, and digitally enabled trade, PSW continues to position Pakistan’s entrepreneurs for global competitiveness.
Aftab Haider, CEO of PSW, highlighted the importance of the program’s recognition and its alignment with global sustainability efforts. “The Khadijah Program is an integral part of our efforts to equip women entrepreneurs with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the digital age. Through our partnership with TDAP’s Women Entrepreneurship Division (WED), we are creating opportunities that empower women-led businesses to be more competitive globally while fostering inclusion and innovation in Pakistan’s trade ecosystem.”
Ms. Qurat Ul Ain, Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), attended the event as Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of green trade in today’s global market. “Today’s global market demands that businesses not only innovate but also lead with inclusivity and responsibility. Women entrepreneurs in Faisalabad have the opportunity to drive this change by embracing digital tools and sustainable practices. The Khadijah Program is an essential step in ensuring that women-led businesses in Pakistan are equipped to lead and succeed in the competitive global marketplace,” said Ms. Qurat Ul Ain.
The event featured expert-led sessions on finance, international marketing, trade compliance, and implementing sustainable practices. These discussions provided participants with practical knowledge to strengthen their businesses, explore export opportunities, and ensure their operations meet international sustainability standards.
