The delegation, which included presidents and representatives from all major markets of Lahore, congratulated President Faheem Sehgal, Senior Vice President Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed, and Vice President Khurram Lodhi on their victory in the LCCI elections. They expressed hope that the new leadership would take effective steps to resolve the longstanding problems confronting the city’s traders and business community.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Suhail Mehmood Butt said that the business community has always played a vital role in the economic development of the country. He added that traders have high expectations from the new LCCI team to bridge the gap between policymakers and the ground realities of markets.
He further urged the chamber to ensure close coordination with trade bodies to address issues such as over-taxation, electricity overbilling, encroachments, and a lack of parking facilities in commercial areas.
The LCCI office-bearers thanked the delegation for their support and assured them of full cooperation. President Faheem Sehgal said that the chamber would continue to act as a strong voice for the business community and would take up all genuine issues with the relevant authorities.
Senior Vice President Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed and Vice President Khurram Lodhi also emphasized strengthening the partnership between the chamber and trader associations to promote business-friendly policies and restore confidence among small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge of unity and collaboration between the LCCI and Lahore’s trader community for the prosperity and economic stability of the region.
