Speaking at the summit, US President Donald Trump described the agreement as a historic milestone for peace in the Middle East, acknowledging it as an extremely difficult but vital achievement.
He praised the support and cooperation of partner nations in securing durable peace in the war-torn Gaza region.
In a notable moment at the summit, President Trump met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for the first time in eight years. The two leaders exchanged greetings and a handshake, followed by Trump giving a thumbs-up gesture to cameras. French President Emmanuel Macron introduced Abbas to Trump, highlighting the symbolic nature of the encounter.
