LAHORE : Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar has decided to organize Khelta Punjab Pink Games, the biggest sports event of women, in a befitting manner in November this year. He made this announcement while chairing an important meeting at the National Hockey Stadium on Friday.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial, Additional Secretary Sports Mian Usman Ali, Sports Coordinator Malik Anoosh Khokhar and Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry attended the meeting.

Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry gave a detailed briefing in the meeting in which he informed that the U-21 school and college girls from all divisions of the province will participate in the mega sports event.
Addressing the meeting, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar has directed the officials concerned to start preparations for Pink Games as early as possible. “The scope of Khelta Punjab Pink Games will be further expanded in the next edition in which more than 3,000 female players are expected to participate”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar further said that the competitions will continue for four days and approximately 17 different sports will be competed in the mega event. “All available resources should be utilized to make the Khelta Punjab Pink Games a resounding success”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that Punjab Sports Department will organize grand opening and closing ceremonies for the Pink Games. “Women members of the Punjab Assembly will be appointed as ambassadors of Pink Games. Besides this, cash prizes of more than Rs 10 million will be distributed among the top performing female athletes”.
