LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana chaired a performance review meeting of the Model Town and Cantt Divisions at his office.

The meeting focused on a comprehensive assessment of the law enforcement activities and challenges faced in these divisions.
During the meeting, the CCPO commended Basharat Ali, In-Charge of the Awan Dhaiwala police check post, for successfully dismantling an inter-district narcotics gang and seizing a substantial quantity of illegal drugs. In recognition of his outstanding performance, the officer was presented with a reward.
CCPO Kamyana directed all Station House Officers (SHOs) to take firm action against social crimes, particularly gambling, within their respective jurisdictions. He warned that strict departmental action would be taken in cases of negligence. He further instructed the officers to conduct intelligence-based raids on gambling dens.
Reiterating the department’s zero-tolerance policy on aerial firing, the CCPO emphasized the need to raise public awareness about the dangers of celebratory gunfire. He advised that mosques be utilized as a vital communication platform for this purpose. He warned that in the event of aerial firing during weddings or other celebrations, legal action would also be initiated against the hosts of such events.
Mr. Kamyana also underscored the importance of recovering stolen property and ensuring its return to rightful owners. He directed officers to intensify efforts to curb motorcycle theft and street crimes by enhancing patrolling in hotspot areas and effectively utilizing the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) surveillance system to support ongoing operations.
The meeting was attended by DIG (Administration) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SSP (VIP Security) Tariq Aziz, along with SPs, ASPs, circle officers, SHOs, and investigation in-charges of both Model Town and Cantt Divisions.
