A lawsuit has been filed in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, naming Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in connection with alleged defects in a luxury car brand they endorsed.
According to Indian media reports, the case was registered following a complaint by local lawyer Keerti Singh, who purchased a car in 2022 for INR23.97 lacs.

Singh stated that within just a few months of purchase, the vehicle began showing serious technical problems. These faults, he claimed, were so severe that they could have led to life-threatening accidents. When he approached the dealership, he was reportedly informed that the issues stemmed from inherent manufacturing defects and could not be permanently resolved.
The complainant further alleged that his decision to buy the car was heavily influenced by advertisements featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. In those promotional campaigns, the actors portrayed the vehicle as a completely “trouble-free” and reliable model. Singh argues that these advertisements created a misleading impression, which ultimately led him to invest in the car.
Police officials have confirmed that an FIR has been registered in the case. An investigation is now underway to determine the extent of responsibility of the company, its dealership, and the celebrity endorsers linked to the brand.
