LAHORE: – Lahore Police has rolled out a comprehensive security and traffic management plan for Independence Day celebrations, pledging a zero-tolerance approach to unlawful activities.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana said strict action would be taken against those involved in one-wheeling, aerial firing, or any disruptive acts.
He cautioned that harassment, rowdy behavior or any misconduct in public places, especially towards families would lead to immediate legal consequences.
To ensure public safety, additional contingents from the Traffic Police, Dolphin Squad and regular police units will be deployed along main thoroughfares, recreational spots and other crowded areas.
The CCPO urged citizens to mark the occasion with responsibility and respect for the law and reminded motorcyclists to wear helmets for their own safety.
