LAHORE: ajor breakthrough, the Lahore Investigation Police have solved a significant theft case in the Nawan Kot area, recovering stolen valuables worth approximately Rs 4.3 million. The recovery includes 12.5 tolas of gold jewelry, Samsung tablets, mobile phones, and other valuable ititems.

The operation was carried out on the special directions of DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza. Acting promptly on the assigned task, Incharge Investigation Nawan Kot, Rashid Mahmood, along with his team, successfully arrested the accused.
According to SP Investigation Iqbal Town, the stolen items include gold jewelry valued at around Rs 4.3 million. SP Sidra Khan further added that three Samsung tablets, several mobile phones, and other stolen goods were also recovered from the suspect.
The incident occurred when the complainant, along with his family, hired a rickshaw driven by the accused to reach a private bus terminal. Upon arrival, the accused pretended to assist in unloading the luggage but fled the scene with a briefcase containing the valuable items.
The accused was apprehended with the help of CCTV footage and human intelligence, according to SP Investigation Iqbal Town. The stolen items were returned to the rightful owner by SP Sidra Khan.
Grateful for the swift action, the complainant expressed appreciation to the investigation police team for recovering the stolen goods.
DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza assured that a strong challan will be submitted based on solid evidence to ensure the culprit receives due punishment. He emphasized that the Investigation Police are fully committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens and warned that strict action will be taken against criminal elements.
SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed announced commendation certificates for the police team in recognition of their performance.
