LAHORE (Web Desk) – Authorities have registered a case against four police personnel from Gujjarpura for allegedly intercepting citizens, confiscating kites, and demanding money before releasing them.

The FIR names ASI Amjad, Murtaza, Nasir Ahmed, and Constable Irfan, who reportedly stopped three individuals — Usman, Sufyan, and Subhan — while carrying kites, asking for cash under the pretext of a barcode check.
According to the complaint, the officers allegedly collected Rs56,000 and 100 bundles of kites before letting the citizens go.
The case followed the viral circulation of the officers’ mobile phone conversation on social media, which drew attention from senior officials.
DSP Gujjarpura Naim Anwar registered the FIR under Section 155-C and other relevant provisions. Investigations are ongoing.
