During the discussion, the Provincial Minister highlighted several historic and people-centric initiatives undertaken by the Punjab government. Notably, he shared that for the first time in the province’s history, an online public court (e-Kacheri) was organized to address the grievances of the labor class. This platform enabled workers to directly voice their concerns and seek timely redressal.
Workers are the backbone of our society,” stated Minister Khokhar. “The e-Kacheri is a revolutionary step focused on providing transparent and immediate solutions to labor issues. We aim to expand this initiative across the province as a model of responsive governance. The Minister also discussed ongoing efforts to promote sports in Punjab. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, playgrounds are being revitalized across the province. Additionally, district and tehsil-level talent hunt programs, sports scholarships, and coaching camps have been launched to nurture young talent and help position Pakistan prominently on the global sports stage.
The Iranian Consul General appreciated the Punjab government’s initiatives for public welfare, labor empowerment, and sports development. He expressed keen interest in enhancing bilateral collaboration in youth exchange, cultural programs, labor cooperation, and sports diplomacy between the two brotherly nations.
Both dignitaries agreed that Pakistan and Iran share deep-rooted historical, cultural, and religious ties, which offer a solid foundation for new collaborative ventures. They emphasized the importance of strengthening these bonds through joint projects and enhanced people-to-people connections.
