LAHORE: A dialogue was organized at a local hotel in Islamabad regarding the promotion of interfaith harmony. Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Punjab Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora specially participated in the event.

Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Punjab Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora said that India has targeted civilian population in night, which is condemnable.
Indian aggression has posed a threat to regional and global peace. Pakistan is a advocate of peace, but the desire for peace should not be considered weakness. The Pahalgam incident was condemned and joint investigation was offered, but India’s stubbornness put the peace of the region at risk. The provincial minister said that followers of all religions enjoy complete religious freedom in Pakistan. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif promised to protect the rights of minorities in her maiden speech. The CM Punjab issued a minority card for financial assistance to the minority community. The Punjab Chief Minister participates in every religious festival of the minority community. Pakistan has not imposed any ban on Sikh pilgrims, which is proof of interfaith harmony in the country. He said that people of all religions respect each other in Pakistan.
The Kartarpur Corridor is a great example of interfaith harmony, thousands of Sikh pilgrims come here from all over the world. Peace, prosperity and development are possible only through interfaith harmony. Other participants, while addressing the ceremony, said that all minorities are free in Pakistan. Religious freedom has promoted an atmosphere of brotherhood in the country. At the end of the ceremony, a shield was presented to the provincial minister.
