LAHORE – The Collectorate of Customs Appraisement (East), Lahore has achieved a 34.67 per cent increase in revenue during the first ten months of the current fiscal year 2024–25, collecting Rs27,814.39 million compared to Rs20,653.95 million in the corresponding period last year.

This exceptional performance is attributed to the dynamic leadership of Collector Mehreen Nasim and Additional Collector Pirzada Omer Qasmi, who have focused on effective enforcement, digitization, and trade facilitation.
The month-wise collection highlights a consistent upward trend, with the most notable surge in April 2025, registering a 90.56% increase over April 2024. Other significant growth months include February (+55.77%), January (+48.15%), and March (+44.11%).
Collector Mehreen Nasim commended her team for their dedication and said, “Our objective has been to enhance revenue through efficient and transparent processes without disrupting legitimate trade. This growth reflects the result of coordinated team efforts.”
Additional Collector Pirzada Omer Qasmi played a vital role in field operations, focusing on compliance and real-time monitoring of clearance processes. He noted, “We’ve combined facilitation with robust enforcement. The results show what a committed team can achieve with the right strategy.”
The business community and senior officials have praised the Collectorate’s performance, calling it a model for others. The Collectorate’s consistent revenue growth not only supports the national exchequer but also boosts investor confidence by ensuring a transparent and facilitative customs environment.
With two months remaining in FY 2024–25, the Collectorate is well on track to surpass all previous records under the stewardship of Mehreen Nasim and Pirzada Omer Qasmi.
