As per the notification, the Convener will also act as the Technical Officer (TO) of the committee and has been authorized to induct additional members as needed to strengthen the team’s outreach and effectiveness.

Convener Engineer Usman Farooq expressed gratitude to Secretary General Ameer Zameer Khan for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading a national-level committee. He assured that he would utilize all his capabilities to work for the future of young engineers and contribute toward the development of a stronger engineering framework in Pakistan.

“We will work in close coordination with IEP to take forward the concerns, suggestions, and policy recommendations of young engineers to the relevant government departments,” said Engineer Usman Farooq. “Our mission will be to highlight the role of young engineers in nation-building and ensure their active participation in key developmental processes.”

Engineer Ameer Zameer Khan congratulated all the committee members and urged them to treat this responsibility as an opportunity to serve the engineering profession and the nation at large. He emphasized the importance of engaging the younger generation of engineers in national development and encouraged the committee to serve as a bridge between academia, industry, and policymakers.

This strategic move by IEP reflects a growing recognition of the need to empower young professionals and integrate them into the mainstream decision-making process to address the evolving challenges of the engineering sector in Pakistan.
