LAHORE: Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan participated as the Chief Guest in the graduation ceremony of Palestinian students at the University of Lahore. On this occasion, the Speaker congratulated 27 Palestinian students on the completion of their Bachelor of Dentistry degrees, paying tribute to their courage, perseverance, and dedication.

He stated that the education of Palestinian students is a manifestation of the Pakistani nation’s humanitarian values. By providing educational opportunities to Palestinian students, Pakistan has established a unique precedent of brotherhood. Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan appreciated the decision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to offer free education to students arriving from Gaza and emphasized that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice for the Palestinian cause at every international forum.
While addressing the ceremony, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said, “I have no words to describe the ongoing oppression in Gaza. When it comes to Palestine, the world turns a blind eye. Gaza has been reduced to rubble, hospitals have been destroyed, and the world remains a silent spectator. History will bear witness to what is happening in Gaza.”
Recalling the tragedy of Karbala, he added, “Just as children were martyred in Karbala, the same is happening in Gaza today.”
The Speaker called for house jobs and necessary facilities to be provided to the young Palestinian doctors, making a special appeal to the Health Minister in this regard. Furthermore, he announced that these Palestinian graduates would be invited to attend a session of the Punjab Assembly in recognition of their efforts and achievements.
He emphasized that the State of Pakistan must urge the international community to implement the United Nations resolutions. “If the lives of global citizens matter, then so do the lives of the Palestinian people,” he remarked. Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan also drew a parallel between the situation in Kashmir and Palestine, highlighting the ongoing oppression in both regions.
The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Chairman Awais Raoof, Deputy Chairman Uzair Raoof, Ambassador of Palestine Dr. Zuhair Zahid, Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir, Minister for Specialized Healthcare Khawaja Salman Rafique, Rector Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, and President of Al-khidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman.
