Lahore Administration Enforces Strict One-Dish Rule

LAHORE: A robust demonstration of commitment to the Chief Minister Punjab’s Clean Mission, the District Administration of Lahore, under the dynamic leadership of Administrator and Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Syed Musa Raza, has amplified its efforts to enhance the city’s cleanliness.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore, Syed Musa Raza, conducted early morning inspections across various locations within Tehsil City, personally overseeing the ongoing cleanliness initiatives at Data Darbar and its environs, Mori Gate Nala, Sagian Bridge, and Sabzazar D-Block. Accompanied by Chief Officer MCL Shahid Abbas Kathiya and Assistant Commissioner City Babar Ali Rai, DC Lahore received a briefing from the Assistant Commissioner City, highlighting the proactive field operations aimed at bolstering both cleanliness and administrative efficacy. Directives issued by DC Lahore on-site included immediate actions for the restoration of green belts and expedited patch work by MCL in areas requiring attention. Addressing the issue of waste accumulation in Mori Gate Nala, DC Lahore instructed WASA authorities to prioritise its immediate clearance. Furthermore, upon re-identification of litter in a vacant plot in Sabzazar D-Block, LWMC officials were promptly directed to clear the area, underscoring the need for a more integrated and effective cleanliness strategy. In a move to streamline urban mobility and public order, DC Lahore ordered a decisive crackdown on illegal parking stands around Data Darbar and other key locations, alongside the complete removal of encroachments from roadsides. Emphasising the dual objective of easing traffic congestion and beautifying the cityscape, DC Lahore stressed the intensification of anti-encroachment operations and a city-wide push for encroachment-free zones. He further addressed the sensitive issue of temporary settlements and stray animals, urging focused efforts for their relocation to designated alternative sites, clarifying that the administration’s goal is to support these communities while maintaining urban aesthetics. Syed Musa Raza reiterated the District Administration’s unwavering dedication to realising the Clean Mission, as envisioned by Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, ensuring a cleaner, healthier, and more organised Lahore for all its residents.
Meanwhile, Lahore administration takes decisive action on One-Dish Wedding Policy. Under the directive of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and the leadership of Administrator and Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Syed Musa Raza, the District Administration is rigorously enforcing the one-dish policy at weddings across the city. Assistant Commissioner Raiwind, Zohaib Mumtaz, held meetings with wedding hall proprietors, issuing clear instructions regarding adherence to the one-dish rule. Actions reflecting the Administration’s commitment under DC Lahore, Syed Musa Raza, included the sealing of six wedding halls in the Raiwind area for policy violations by AC Raiwind. Concurrently, Assistant Commissioner Ravi, Tariq Shabbir, imposed a fine of one hundred thousand rupees on a wedding hall for non-compliance. DC Lahore, Syed Musa Raza, reiterated that strict action will be taken against any violations of the one-dish policy, and stressed that All the stakeholders must play positive role to implement Chief Minister’s directions. The proactive measures underscore the administration’s resolve to ensure effective governance, streamlining regulations for the benefit of the citizens of Lahore.
Meanwhile, the District Administration of Lahore, under the active leadership of Administrator and Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza, is demonstrating a strong commitment to improving administrative affairs and ensuring effective public service delivery. Assistant Commissioner Shalimar, Muhammad Saqib Tarazi, conducted inspections of ongoing Lahore Development Programme (LDP) schemes, underscoring the administration’s proactive approach. AC Shalimar directed to expedite the pace of development works across UC 128, 129, and 161. He further confirmed that multiple roads within LDP Scheme 5 are nearing completion, and the construction work is under process on six additional roads incorporated in LDP Scheme 7, which fall under UC 163. A notice was issued by AC Shalimar to a contractor for unsatisfactory performance, a testament to the administration’s commitment to quality. Besides that a robust anti-encroachment operation on Bahar Shah Road in Tehsil Shalimar. Emphasising the administration’s priorities, DC Lahore, Syed Musa Raza, stated that providing facilities to citizens and resolving public issues promptly are of paramount importance. He further assured that efforts are underway to realise a zero-waste and encroachment-free environment in the city in the near future.
