LAHORE : Popular Pakistani YouTuber and social media influencer Rajab Butt has firmly denied widespread rumours linking him to actress Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, calling the reports entirely false and urging social media users to avoid spreading unverified information that can damage the reputation of public figures.

The clarification comes after several posts circulated across social media platforms claiming that Rajab Butt and the television actress were preparing to get married. The speculation quickly gained momentum online, prompting discussions among fans despite the absence of any credible confirmation from either individual.

Speaking during an interview with YouTuber and TikTok content creator Tehmina Sheikh, Rajab Butt addressed the rumours publicly for the first time. He said the claims had no factual basis and explained that he was surprised to see his name being associated with the actress.

Rajab stated that he has no personal relationship with Dur-e-Fishan Saleem and described her as a respected senior member of Pakistan’s entertainment industry. He emphasized that the two have no personal connection and have never shared the kind of relationship suggested in online rumours.

According to Rajab, he first became aware of the reports after receiving repeated questions from followers and members of the public on social media. As the speculation continued to spread, he decided to issue a public clarification to prevent further misinformation.

He said false stories often travel rapidly on digital platforms and can create unnecessary confusion for both celebrities and their families. Rajab added that his decision to respond was motivated by a desire to ensure that the actress would not face avoidable inconvenience because of fabricated reports.

The rumours had already been dismissed by individuals close to the actress. Earlier, Dur-e-Fishan Saleem’s stylist also rejected the claims, stating that there was no truth to reports suggesting the actress was planning to marry the social media personality.

Despite these denials, speculation continued across various online platforms, highlighting the growing influence of viral content and unverified gossip within Pakistan’s digital entertainment landscape.

Celebrity rumours have become increasingly common as social media platforms allow information to spread rapidly without verification. Entertainment analysts note that public figures frequently become targets of false reports involving relationships, engagements and marriages that attract significant online attention.

Experts say such speculation can have personal and professional consequences, affecting both celebrities and their families while creating unnecessary public scrutiny.

Rajab Butt said people should verify information before sharing it online and avoid contributing to the spread of baseless claims. He stressed that responsible use of social media is essential to prevent misinformation from damaging reputations.

The YouTuber has built a large online following through lifestyle content, vlogs and digital entertainment, making him one of Pakistan’s most recognizable social media personalities. His popularity has also made him a frequent subject of online discussions and rumours.

Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, meanwhile, has established herself as one of Pakistan’s leading television actresses through performances in several successful drama serials. She continues to enjoy widespread popularity among television audiences and remains active in the country’s entertainment industry.

Media observers note that the increasing popularity of celebrities often results in greater public curiosity about their personal lives. However, they caution that speculation should not be treated as fact unless confirmed by reliable sources or the individuals concerned.

The latest clarification serves as another reminder of the challenges public figures face in the digital era, where false information can spread within minutes and reach millions of users before being corrected.

With both Rajab Butt and individuals associated with Dur-e-Fishan Saleem rejecting the marriage rumours, there is currently no evidence supporting claims of any personal relationship between the two. Both continue to focus on their respective careers while urging the public to rely on verified information rather than online speculation.
