LAHORE: The election campaign for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has gained momentum as the Pioneers Businessmen Group (PBG) continued its outreach campaign across Anarkali’s major business markets.
A grand luncheon was hosted in honor of PBG Chairman Ali Hussam Asghar, where traders and office-bearers from Anarkali’s various markets gathered to express support for the group ahead of the upcoming LCCI elections.
Senior PBG leader Harith Ateeq said that executive committee members had been nominated from all major markets of Anarkali, reflecting growing confidence of the trader community in the PBG leadership.
The luncheon was hosted by President Anarkali Bazaar Bano Market Haji Ateeq ur Rehman, who welcomed guests and highlighted the importance of unity among traders for the betterment of the business community.
The event was attended by office-bearers and representatives from 28 affiliated markets of Anarkali. Participants included Sheikh Arshad, Arshad Khan, Moazzam Waheed, Rashid Ray, Babar Qadri, Khurram Faraz, Muzaffar Alam, Muhammad Idrees, Malik Nasir Mahmood, Sharjeel Akbar, Mateen ur Rehman, Naveed Ahmad, Mian Tasleem Riaz, Chaudhry Jamal, Naeem Ali, Waseem Gujjar, Farrukh Ikhlaq, Asad Rafi, Hamid uz Zaman, Sikandar Shams, Tahir Ali, Malik Naveed Sadiq, Mian Imran Asghar, Haji Nawaz Pappu, Shahzad Mahmood, Shahid Nazir Chaudhry, Waseem Yawar Butt, Khurram Lodhi, Malik Farooq Hafeez, Imran Bashir, Syed Yousaf Shah, Abdul Mateen and Chaudhry Shahab Basharat.
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Hussam Asghar thanked traders for their support and said the PBG leadership remained committed to protecting business interests and strengthening the role of the LCCI in economic development.
During the ceremony, PBG executive committee certificates were also distributed among members by the chairman.
Separately, a birthday celebration was organized for LCCI Vice President Khurram Lodhi at Urdu Bazaar by Shahin Group leader Muhammad Javed of Javed Publishers along with fellow traders.
Bouquets were presented to Khurram Lodhi in recognition of his services for the trader community. Prominent business figures, including Bao Bashir, Sohail Mahmood Butt, Yousaf Shah, Arshad Khan, Sheikh Zafar, Malik Imran and Aqeel ur Rehman, also attended the event and extended good wishes.
