Authorities said Waseem had been constantly changing hideouts to evade arrest. He allegedly collected large quantities of gold from various jewelers, causing multi-crore losses.

Police sources confirmed that 10 cases of fraud and deception are registered against him at Achhra Police Station in Lahore. Following the arrest, Waseem will be transferred to Lahore for further interrogation to identify accomplices and determine the full amount of stolen gold.

DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza said the arrest is a major breakthrough and stressed that authorities are committed to recovering stolen assets and holding perpetrators accountable.
