LAHORE, January 3: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has reported a 35 percent increase in revenue collection during the first half of the ongoing financial year, reflecting the impact of administrative reforms introduced by the Punjab government.

According to official figures, PRA collected Rs149.5 billion during July–December of the current fiscal year, compared with Rs112.1 billion during the corresponding period of the previous year.

Officials said the increase was achieved through the implementation of modern reforms and the strengthening of a transparent and efficient tax collection mechanism within the authority.

The growth in provincial revenue is expected to contribute to improved financial stability and support the timely execution of development and welfare projects across Punjab.
