LONDON (Web Desk) — Pakistani teen Abdullah Tanoli has been celebrated across Britain for his courage in saving a young girl from a knife attack in Leicester Square, earning official recognition from a British court.

The incident occurred last August when Abdullah, serving as a security guard at a local shop, noticed a knife-wielding attacker threatening an 11-year-old girl. Acting in the blink of an eye, he intervened and, with the help of fellow security staff, restrained the attacker until police arrived.
At the court hearing, the judge commended Abdullah for his bravery and quick thinking, awarding him £1,000 from public funds. The court also instructed that the attacker, Pun Pantaro, be transferred to a high-security mental health institution.
Abdullah’s swift action prevented a potential tragedy and earned him widespread praise. Since the event, he has been recognized as a hero and honored with multiple awards for his selfless act.
