ISLAMABAD: Finance Division has issued a notification reducing the petrol price by Rs2 per litre, bringing it to Rs263.45 per litre, effective from December 1 for the next fifteen days. This move follows recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) and relevant ministries.

While the cut offers short-term relief to consumers, analysts caution that ongoing global oil volatility, rising energy costs, and domestic economic pressures may trigger further fuel price swings. Motorists and businesses are advised to brace for possible fluctuations in the coming weeks.
The notification comes amid ongoing scrutiny of fuel pricing policies and their impact on inflation and public spending.
