LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Law Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan visited Kot Radha Kishan to offer condolences to the family of Mueez Hussain, a renowned local trader leader who was brutally murdered earlier this week.

During the visit, a large number of local traders, political and social figures, and police officials were also present. The Minister expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic incident, terming it “highly condemnable and heartbreaking.” He assured the bereaved family that the Government of Punjab stands firmly with them and vowed that the culprits would not escape the law. A transparent and swift investigation will be carried out, and those responsible will be brought to justice without delay, he added.
Police officials briefed the Law Minister that an FIR has been registered at Kot Radha Kishan Police Station, and raids are being conducted to arrest the suspects. Investigating teams are working on all possible leads, and significant progress is expected soon. The victim’s family appealed to the Minister for a fair and transparent investigation and early arrest of the accused, expressing confidence that the Government of Punjab would ensure justice.
Representatives of the local business community also met the Minister and demanded improvements in the law and order situation, enhanced police patrolling, and a more effective CCTV monitoring system to ensure safety in markets and commercial areas. Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan reaffirmed that the protection of the business community is the government’s top priority. He said that the Government of Punjab will utilize all available resources to ensure the safety of traders’ lives and property. No act of crime or terrorism will be tolerated.
He directed the police to arrest the perpetrators as soon as possible and ensure that justice is delivered without any negligence or delay. The Law Minister further emphasized that the Punjab Government is fully committed to upholding the rule of law and protecting citizens’ lives and property. He stated that no influential individual will be considered above the law, and justice will be ensured in every case.
