LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar has announced that Punjab Sports Department will organise Punjab’s largest sports event for women in the last week of October this year. He made this announcement while presiding over a high profile meeting at the National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial, Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry and Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza participated in the important meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar has directed the officers concerned to formulate the schedule of Khelta Punjab Pink Games. “Cash prizes worth millions of rupees will be distributed among the top performing athletes in the Pink Games”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar further said that more than 3,000 female players from all divisions of the province will participate in the Khelta Punjab Pink Games. “Sports disciplines are being increased in the next edition of Pink Games. Several indoor and outdoor games will be part of the mega event”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that several effective measures are being taken to provide best sports opportunities to the talented youth of the province. “The Khelta Punjab Pink Games will prove to be a suitable platform for female athletes to demonstrate their sports skills and potential”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar further said that the government is committed to provide plenty of playing opportunities to talented youth of the province. “The Punjab government is utilizing all possible resources to promote sports culture in all parts of the province”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that special steps are being taken to promote sports across the province on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister. He also directed to utilize the social media platform to the maximum in registration campaign of Khelta Punjab Pink Games.
